Recruiting conditions will be moderately difficult across the US, but will vary based on the available talent supply of Recruiters in each location. Of the three cities with the most demand, companies with openings for Recruiters in Washington, DC are likely to experience the most difficult conditions. According to the Hiring Scale™, there are approximately 9 potential candidates in the Washington, DC workforce per job ad over the past 90 days, falling below the national average of 12 candidates per opening. Due to the talent pool being relatively small in Washington, DC, employers will need to compete heavily and spend additional time sourcing candidates than many of their US counterparts.
In comparison, New York falls slightly above the national average with 13 potential candidates per job ad over this period. Despite having the highest hiring demand, the talent pool in New York is almost three times that of Washington, DC. Recruiters there are likely to experience easier conditions when sourcing candidates for open positions.
